Radio Speakers
Why are my computer speakers picking up radio signals?
No, I'm not crazy. I got new speakers for my computer, I only have the speakers plugged into the wall with the battery, not even with the computer. When I turn the power on with the speakers, and have the volume on LOW, I can hear music from a radio stations, advertisments and such. Then when I turn the speakers UP, it stops picking up signals.
It's not a serious problem, just really confusing. O_o.
I think the speaker cables are not shielded, so they pick up a lot of wireless signals. You may notice this if use a cell phone or wireless phone and place it near the speakers they will start buzzing. If it becomes too much of an issue, I'd suggest buying slightly higher-end speakers that have shielded wires.
