How long does a cheesecake take to set?

I have used Quark, and Greek Yoghurt for my cheesecake, how long will it take to set? Or how long would a normal cheesecake take to set, this is the first time i've ever made one it's niiiiiiiiiiiiiice!
Nooooonoonoo. Sorry, you don't understand. Mine isn't an oven one; it doesn't contain eggs or anything like that, the only thing that has been in the oven is the base, the filling is made out of just Quark and Greek Yoghurt, it doesn't need to go into the oven, just needs to chill to set but how long?

I am not sure what you mean by "how long does it take to set". Do you mean cooked/baked cheesecake? Or do you mean when you mix cheese with a gelatin type material and you are waiting for it to set?

Bake cheesecake according to directions in the recipe, and according to your oven (ovens vary in temp, you should know if yours runs too hot or too cold according to the thermostat). Some recipes say to then turn off the cheesecake and leave in the oven for an hour - the recipe says that for a reason. Some recipes say to bake the cheesecake in a hot water bath - this prevents cracking and prevents the cheesecake from burning or overcooking.

If you are making cheesecake that uses cheese and gelatin, it will take about two hours to set - same as making jello.
